Psychology Intern at Mental Health Support Foundation (MHSF)
Mental Health Support Foundation (MHSF) is a Registered NGO headquartered in Mumbai having an Administrative office and Nurture Centre in Malad East, Mumbai.
Position Overview:
MHSF is seeking Psychology Interns who are currently pursuing or have recently completed a Master’s degree in Psychology. This internship is designed to provide valuable hands-on experience in community mental health support while contributing significantly to the foundation’s mission. Interns will have the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings, gain insights into mental health advocacy, and develop professional skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of mental health programs and workshops, including peer support groups and community outreach initiatives.
- Participate in research and development of resources on mental health topics relevant to the foundation’s mission.
- Contribute to the foundation’s awareness campaigns and advocacy efforts in mental health.

- Gain unique and invaluable insights by directly engaging with individuals who have lived experiences of mental health challenges. Listening to their stories firsthand will deepen your understanding of the complexities and nuances of mental health, enhancing your empathy and practical skills in providing support.

Requirements:
- Currently enrolled / recent graduate of Master’s program in Psychology from a UGC recognised university.
- Interest in community mental health and peer-led support initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to commit to the internship for a specified duration (e.g., 6 months).
- Work is based at our Nurture Centre at Malad E, Mumbai.
Internship Details:
- This is a non-paid internship opportunity.
- Interns will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the internship program.
